     The next day, I was even more of a social pariah. Not a single person, except teachers, spoke to me except to insult me. Honestly, I didn’t think I would make it through the day, so during the lunch period I went to the office to sign out so I could go to my car. After crying for a good 20 minutes, I started my car and drove home. There was no way I could last another 3 periods. If the school called I already had a plan to tell them I had gotten food poisoning at lunch and had to go home. I was never one to skip school, but this new development in my life was making school completely unbearable and I knew I couldn’t go back.

     I made it all the way in through the front door before I broke down. I ran quickly down the hallway to my room and sobbed for what seemed like years. When the crying would seem to end another wave of despair would wash over me, causing me to cry harder. Finally, the shaking stopped and the tears ran dry. Today had been the worst day of my life.  That Monday things went from bad to worse. I walked into Cheyenne High School, a big brick building that towered three floors into the sky.      I lied in bed awake that night, my body fighting sleep. Unexplained butterflies fluttered around my stomach ever since Jason kissed my head. I’m over thinking things, I reassured myself.
